We will be holding a jeopardy style trivia game at 7 PM during our general meeting. The trivia game will consist of video game, pc gaming, and board game related question. We try to make the questions accessible to the common interests of the club as a whole.
We will create a jeapordy style board consisting of multiple categories. Each categories will have at least 5 questions per category. The questions will have increasing point values related to the difficulty of the question.
The participants will be divided into two teams. For each questions, two people from each team will represent the team. Teams will alternate priority on who gets to choose the question. The representative will choose the question and have the first attempt at the answer. The following rules will apply based on the response to the given question.
1) The team with priority will have their representative answer. Full points will be awarded for a correct answer. If he/she gets the question wrong, then…
2) The representative from the other team will have their chance. Full points will be awarded for a correct answer. If he/she gets the question wrong, then…
3) The team will priority will collectively have a chance to answer the question. Half points will be awarded for a correct answer. If the team gets the question wrong then…
4) The other team will collectively have a chance to answer the question. Half points will be awarded for a correct answer. If the team gets the question wrong then no points will awarded. The correct answer will be revealed.
The game follows a back and forth motion as described above. Each representative will stay up for a total of two questions. During the first question he/she will answer second. During the next question, he/she will answer first.
When the representative are giving their responses, the teams cannot help. If the representatives fail to answer correctly, then the teams can collaborate on the answer.
Everyone should have a fair shot at being the representative. Make sure everyone has represented two questions before repeating members.
We hope everyone enjoys the trivia questions. We encourage friendly competition. Just remember to be respectful of your teammates and the other team.
